Services

True North Vision provides comprehensive ophthalmology for interior Alaska — from routine eye care through subspecialty surgical and medical treatment, all in one practice in Fairbanks.

Comprehensive eye care

Routine and diagnostic eye examinations for adults, including refraction, dilated examination, and screening for cataract, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and macular degeneration. We coordinate with your primary care provider and optometrist as part of your ongoing care.

Cataract surgery

Modern small-incision phacoemulsification with standard and premium intraocular lens (IOL) options, including toric lenses for astigmatism and extended-depth-of-focus lenses. Pre-operative biometry, surgical planning, and post-operative care are all handled within the practice, so you are not traveling out of the interior for each step.

Glaucoma management

Diagnosis and long-term management of glaucoma and ocular hypertension. Evaluation includes optical coherence tomography (OCT), automated visual field testing, and gonioscopy. Treatment is tailored to each patient and may include medication, laser therapy, or surgical referral, coordinated through an established care plan.

Medical retina

Diagnosis and management of retinal conditions including diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and retinal vascular disease. Intravitreal injection therapy is available locally — care that interior Alaska patients have historically traveled long distances to receive.
